The Walls of the Trianon

Marie Antoinette was a lover of art as was her predecessor, Madame du Pompadour. They both adored the Petit Trianon at Versailles which was far removed from the palace and filled with paintings like this one by Fragonard. What a whimsical world for a brief and shining moment...

This site has lots of great info about the decor and style of the queen's chambers.

Her rooms were not all that casual but much less formal than Versailles.

Much less formal!

Great idea. I'll put on my thinking cap. Does Isadora Duncan or Gertrude Bell qualify?

I may be a woman with a past soon, too.

Blogspot's brand new robot scanner has decided my blog was spam (!)

I'm blocked from posting AND if I can't convince a real human, who I can't contact, that I'm a real blog, they are going to delete me.

Spread the word. Bloggers need to unite to protest this new "feature."
